Are We Really Bothered Who The Next US President Will Be?
As we finally near the finishing line for the candidates for the US presidential election, are people outside of the US actually bothered who it will be? Do we really care?
While it has to be said that interest is waning in the US presidential election procedure, we would be foolish to ignore who actually comes through to take what is without doubt the most powerful seat of authority in the world. Even though Americans are often accused of ramping up the importance of their country and their influence on a variety of different things, the presidential election has the potential to change all of our lives!
Many people seem to forget that the US has the most powerful economy in the world and as we have seen recently, if they hit the buffers then we all go down with them. US business is big business around the world and they know it!
So next time you are watching the news and spot a piece about the presidential election, it might be worthwhile checking out the person who might have the power to influence all of our lives. It is not an exaggeration to say that ?the UK economy catches a cold if the US economy sneezes?, and while we in the UK may kid ourselves that we are standing side by side with the US, this could not be further from the truth.
It will be interesting to see how the presidential elections pan out because in the past we have seen big promises and big policies with very little actually delivered in the end. Maybe the new crop of presidential candidates will be different, maybe you will catch that flying pig that went past your window or maybe we will see the same styles but just different faces in the US.
